You : You should see an ophthalmologist. Typical conservative treatment involves warm compresses and antibiotic drops such as Azasite antibiotic drops, which seem to penetrate the lid tissue, may be useful. If there is significant inflamation, oral antibiotics may be useful as well. The bump is probably an chalasion, which is a swelling in the eyelid from a blockage in the meibomian gland, that secretes meibomian fluid as part of the tear solution. If the bump is not going away, a quick surgical procedure in the office can usually resolve the problem. ...Read more
