White Blood Cells High Symptoms
Pyuria: White blood cells in urine usually are there because of an infection in the urinary tract. However, they can also be there in large numbers in a female when there is a vaginal infection or when she is having her period (always see red cells also in this situation). My best advice is to see your doctor and have a urine culture done to see what is going on.
10 month old had 2 uti's, had symptoms for #3 in less 2 months. On meds. Culture neg, waiting to do tests could teething cause high white blood cells?
No: Teething does not cause an elevation of your white blood cell count. An elevated WBC count a this age is almost always due to an infection somewhere, and with a history of uti's already I would be looking in this area. It could be a kidney abcess, blood infection, or infection totally somewhere else in the body. There are other more rare causes of elevated wbc's, but teething is not one of them.
My blood work showed a past mono infection but high white blood cells. I am fatigued and have aches. Could the symptoms linger?
Cbc: Repeat a cbc if not better in 2-3 weeks
What does high white blood cells, high neutrophils and low lymphocytes indicate? Absolute levels and all others are normal
May be time: To look for other reactive causes as well as a primary hematologic cause for the leukocytosis (increased wbc).
What does high white blood cells, high neutrophils and low lymphocytes indicate? Monocytes and all others are normal
What does high white blood cells, high neutrophils and low lymphocytes indicate? Absolute lymphocytes and all others are normal should I be scared
High cell counts: Need more information. E.G. What is your age and gender. What are the levels of neutrophils and lmphocytes. Do you have any illness or do you get fevers.See 2 more doctor answers
Been sick for 2 months, was diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumoniae. Chest pain Constant. Is this normal? White blood cells high after 5 day azithromyci
Other diagnoses: If you not better after treatment you have to consider other possible diagnoses. Thus I would recommend chest x ray as the next step.
Why was my ua 90° which is apparently cold, my white blood cells high, and a sore throat with a cold? What could it be? My ua didn't even show my meds
Here are some. .: Sore throat with high WBC in blood indicates your body is fighting hard against viral or bacterial invasion to your body. Normally, urinalysis is done to tell us the following features of urine: white blood cells (pyuria), red blood cells (microhematuria), protein, high bilirubin, sP. Gr, acidity, etc... And testing drugs is done for screening only not for routine UA. More? Ask Doc.
Why do you ask?: There is no need to treat a lab value. If you feel well and there are no abnormal cells, it is almost never a problem to have a moderately elevated white count. If real disease has been diagnosed, manage the disease using the lab as one parameter.See 1 more doctor answer
Infection: Infection is the most common cause of high white blood cells, but there can be other causes such as leukemia.
SOMETHING: Inflammatory, infectious, or blood cancer is ocurring in your body. Depends on how high also.
Many things: Can be a normal variant, could be a myeloproliferative disorder, could be an infection, however, unlikely if always high. Another thought it could be a chronic inflammatory disorder. Hope this helps. Needs to be evaluated.
WBC: Wbc counts typically increase in response to infection. It doesn't necessarily tell us what the exact infection is. It could be viral, bacterial, etc. But together with a thorough history and physical exam, it could help us make a diagnosis so we can prescribe the proper treatment.
One is high: Over about 10.5 and the other is low. Below about 4.
My daughters b-12 level is on the high side but her white blood cells are normal. What should be her next step to find out the cause of her high b-12?
Proteinuria/pyuria: Leucocytes are white blood cells (wbcs). So, high protein and high wbcs equals infection until proven otherwise by a negative urine culture. Take infection out of the equation, then some time or damage to the kidney filters is next on my list, but when this happens there is usually red cells in the urine. This takes me back to urine infection or some other type of genitourinary infection.
White blood cells: The presence of white blood cells suggests inflammation, probably due to infection.
