I am assuming you might be overweight already and the best way to control weight during pregnancy is to eat a healthy diet that avoids simple carbohydrates (sugar). "Curcovia": "curcovia" is a trade name for curcuma comosa, an herb in the ginger family. It's related to the more well-known curcuma longa, the tasty spice turmeric.
