Somewhat better.: Ibuprophen is anti-inflammtory has well as being a pain reliever. Acetominophen is a pain reliever but has no effect on inflammation. While neither is all you should be taking for an inflammatory arthritis. Both can be used in degenerative arthritis, but their is some inflammation exist in this condition too! go iwth the ibuprophen or naproxen. Tylenol (acetaminophen) OK: It's perfectly fine to take tylenol (acetaminophen) if you are taking aspirin, and short term would be ok to take some Ibuprofen although you don't want to be mixing nsaid's long term as it can lead to a lot of GI upset. See allergist/ENT: I presume that the problem is with swallowing likely from throat swelling. If so, one needs to rule out progesterone allergy.
