Very effective: Mag citrate is very effective. I recommend you start taking a daily stool softener, not a laxative. This will help you stay normal. Usually start with miralax or colace one or two times daily until your going once daily and no longer dealing with constipation. Taking too much stool softener is just as bad and can lead to constant diarrhea. Request a 2nd oppinion for a more detailed plan. ...Read more
