Which Is Better Dermadew Acne Soap Or Dove Soap
I have a 1 month old son and his acne is very bad, I was told that dove soap for sensitive skin was okay, I'm not sure if that's true or false?
It works well: Baby acne is a transient process that lasts for weeks to months & seems to stabilize with mild soaps like dove. A mild 1/2% cortisone cream no more than once daily can calm down the most irritated areas. ...Read more
Basically no: Acne is a non-hygiene-related disease, and the bacteria that cause it are deep and won't be touched by bathing soap. If topical benzoyl peroxide hasn't helped your acne after two weeks, get with your personal physician. It's a serious, chronic disease that's often a grave personal and professional liability. Do what you have to. ...Read more
Soap: Jergens soap, and many soaps for that matter, can help keep the skin clean, and may help clear up acne as well. But, Jergens soap is not a cure all for acne however. No: If the "natural"remedies worked there'd be no acne. In fact, the acne soap that you buy doesn't work well. I hope that what somebody's told you about "natural" being better isn't preventing you from getting scientific rx for your acne. All acne can be controlled and being an 18 year old man is hard enough without misinformation preventing you from getting a clear complexion. All acne's manageable. ...Read more

Here in the States, there are many over-the-counter acne washes & soaps, none of which are proven better than the rest, which is why they all vie for marketshare. My son is 6wks and has baby acne. How do I treat it? I've been washing it with mild soap for a week and its not clearing up
No need to treat: Any differently from what you are doing. It is a benign, self-resolving condition, caused by the hormones passed on from mom to baby. It usually peaks at 4-6 weeks and then resolves, as those hormone levels diminish in your baby. Regular acne treatments will not make it go away any faster and may be irritating to your baby's skin and make it worse. If it continues past 3 months, talk to his doctor. ...Read more
