Which option is better: a "fat burner" or "fat blocker"?

Which option is better: a "fat burner" or "fat blocker"?

Neither: Not entirely sure what a fat burner or blocker is, sound likely a marketing gimmick. No simple short cuts for long term sustained weight reduction, other than limiting caloric intake, and increasing caloric burning with excersise. Hope this helps. ...Read more

What are the differences between a fat burner and a fat blocker?

What are the differences between a fat burner and a fat blocker?

Absorption of fat: The fat blocker available as Alli ( branded rx xenical) is a medication that binds up 20-40% of fat ingested with the capsules - and does not allow the fat to ever be absorbed into the bloodstream ( which is where the side effects come from). Fat burners - are usually any product that has any compound with a stimulant effect - ie caffiene or other herbal forms - but these do not burn fat -. ...Read more

My family consumes butter which is 99% fat free and also mayoniese which is also the same. Is it good for a person with LDL to consume everyday? Why?

Inconsistent data: Butter cannot be 99% fat free and be butter. We all have ldl. To have a healthy diet, make it rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts; low in saturated fats including butter and mayonnaise; no tobacco, and not more than one drink a day. Exercise at least 30 minutes each day. ...Read more

My question is that which juices are good and best after one hour of exercise which also helps to burn fat and loose weight including the daily diet?

My question is that which juices are good and best after one hour of exercise which also helps to burn fat and loose weight including the daily diet?

Hydrate: After exercise it is important to stay hydrated. Water is best. Next you need protein. You could get this from drinking a shake or smoothie which includes protein, either from Greek yogurt, nuts or nut butters, soy milk, etc.. Losing weight requires you to be aware of calories in and calories burned. Healthy fats to include in your diet would be from olive oil, nuts, avocado, fish. Best of luck. ...Read more

Is it trans fat or saturated fat that produces plaque and can exercise prevent this?

Neither is good: Trans fats seem to be worse, but both types tend to raise total and LDL cholesterol, which should increase plaque deposition and risk of cardiac events. Which is more effective: a diet without exercising or the opposite? I know that both a proper diet with execising daily is the best option.

Depends on how much: Details are important. There is no answer to this question unless one knows how much exercising one would do, or how much food one would eat. Is one giving up a huge amount of exercising, or giving up an enormous amount of food? It all comes down to counting calories: number of calories that would be absorbed into the body, compared to the number of calories that would be burned up in exercise. ...Read more

Is it true that a calcium supplement reduces the absorption of some vitamins and minerals (like in a multivitamin for example)? If so which ones?

Possibly: Yes it is true that calcium can affect absorption of some vitamins but also calcium often isn't that easily absorbed either. Remember, a lot depends on whether you are taking supplements on an empty stomach or not. Actually, it is better to take vitamins after a decent meal as the proteins and fats in food will aid in absorption of supplements and vitamins. ...Read more

Is it possible for fat cells in our body to be resistant to diet and exercise or is this just a way of promoting liposuction?

Is it possible for fat cells in our body to be resistant to diet and exercise or is this just a way of promoting liposuction?

Fat cells: Ultimately, fat burning becomes universal in distribution. However, fat cell resistance is real. Fat tissues have less circulation than other tissues and so are less exposed to burning dynamics. Low insulin is essential for adipose burning. And glycogen burning, ie stored starch burning, is first in line. Adipose burning kicks in with low insulin AND depletion of glycogen stores. Difficult! ...Read more
