Need more info: "spots" can mean a lot of things. Most commonly, there are small areas of increased signal on t2 or flair MRI sequences which generally represent small "scars" or gliosis. It is not unusual to have 1 of these areas for every 10 years of age, so a 50 year old person could have 5-6 and be considered normal.
