Which Complications Are Common Of A Right Bundle Branch Block
There are 2 main branches of the heart's electrical system within the ventricles, the right bundle branch and the left bundle branch. Additionally, the left bundle branch has two sub-branches, the antero-superior fascicle and the posteroinferior fascicle. When one or more branches are disrupted, the resultant electrical abnormalities can be ...Read more
Hoping you can tell me, is right bundle branch block (rbbb) something to really stress over everyday?
Not really: Rt bbb is a common ekg finding and it may occur in some medical conditions. But it is also common in some people with normal heart it occurs in conditionsthat effect the right ventricle or the lungs. If you are otherwise healthy and no other symptoms and your doctor gave you clean chit, than you do not need to stress over it every day. ...Read more
I was told by my cardiologist I have right bundle branch block; there was no cause for concern. Can condition worsen? Can rbbb worsen?
No: A rbbb is a pattern seen in the ECG where the electrical impulse is delay or interrupted as it spread along the heart. Prevalence increase with age. At 80 y/o close to 10% people can have it. Somewhat benign but an evaluation need to be done to r/o heart and lung conditions. Conditions like copd, cad, myocarditis, valvular heart disease, and other structural heart conditions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Right bundle branch block and Z-pack (Azithromycin) prescribed for infection. Haven't taken yet, any concern for heart issues with RBBB and Azithro?
BBB: ECG QT interval prolongation can be a concern with azithromycin, the bundle block adds to the measured QT interval ,however the more relevant measure is the JT interval that ECG machines don't record/measure,consult locally with the prescribing physician. Also don't delay antibiosis with out the prescriber being aware. ...Read more
Abnormal conduction: The signal to beat is distributed to through the heart by a specialized electrical system. The right bundle is one of the branches of this system. If conduction through the right bundle is slowed or blocked the parts of the heart it serves will contract late, seen as widening of the electrocardiographic qrs-wave. Unless the remainder of the conduction system fails, it usually isn't a problem. ...Read more

HR : A Published study has good news for you: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6826977 Yes, you can exercise. Do let your provider know your routine. No: Among the bad things smoking marijuana does to the heart and lungs are the noticeable rise in heart rate and blood pressure, the increased demand for oxygen by the contracting heart muscle, followed by vasodilation (blood vessels relax and dilate) with a drop in blood pressure as smoking mj continues; the abnormal rhythms in the upper heart, and maybe abnormal ventricular (lower heart) rhythms. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Wiring of heart: Sinus rhythm means that the electrical activity that controls the contraction of the heart, starts in the sinus node. Right bundle branch block means that the right bundle (part of the electrical wiring) does not conduct the impulse which changes the appearance of the ekg. Right bundle branch block as opposed to left bundle branch block is usually benign. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
No: Generally RBBB is not serious - it can even be present from birth. With your hx of SVT, there are certain abnormalities that need to be considered and excluded: atrial septal defect and mitral stenosis. Lung conditions can cause it. Sometime high blood pressure is the cause. There are rare causes too, but in most cases, it's an isolated finding of no significance. In itself RBBB causes no symptoms ...Read more
Can Lexapro (escitalopram) cause a right bundle branch block? If so, will it return to normal after stopping the medication?
Probably not: A right bundle branch block is either slowed or blocked conduction in one of the three fascicles ("wires") that connect the top chambers to the bottom chambers of the heart. Generally speaking, if the right bundle block has been there a while, it'll stay. Sometimes they come and go, but that's like an extension cord on the fritz and sparking. Good news: you'll be fine with just the left bundle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can I run if I have a right bundle branch block? Dr found it on an ekg and she didn't seem too worried about it. I didn't know if the slow rate is ok.
Check to see; IRBBB: If you say your doctor isn't worried about it then, can you ASK if she means you've an INCOMPLETE RBBB as opposed to a RBBB that's NOT incomplete. The former is believed likely benign in the vast majority of people & is found in many asymptomatic healthy individuals. The latter needs a bit more work to say that it's benign.
