If 45 bpm is not your usual heart rate and you're now having chest pains, the main activity you need to do right now is go to an ER for emergency evaluation. If this is a chronic state for you, you need to ask your cardiologist about your exercise tolerance. This can be assessed, and depending on your clinical status some form of cardiac rehabilitation may help you. Good luck.

Murmurs that are NOT caused by an abnormality are common. They are called "functional murmurs", and are of no concern whatsoever.

Yes

This is true ONLY if the murmer comes from an anatomical defect or immaturity of the heart structure. Blood does make noise as it flows through the heart normally and if heard is an innocent murmer which is harmless. In addition, murmers can occur if the heart is damaged such as from an infection-rheumatic fever for example

A big majority of heart murmurs in children are innocent ones (without heart defect). True pathologic murmurs are associated with heart defects, often a part of birth defects.

a murmur is simply a audible sound in the heart caused by turbulence . its a physical sign not a diagnosis. some birth defects can cause murmurs and others wont. murmurs can be from restricted vales, leaky valves, communications between chambers, fevers, anemia etc. so if a pt has a murmur usually an echo of the heart is done with dopplers to further evaluate it .

The majority of heart murmurs are "innocent", and they even develop as a result of becoming an accomplished athlete. Find the cause. It may warn of treatable illness, it may be something that needs watching, it may be one of those valve problems that requires antibiotic prophylaxis for endocarditis when you visit the dentist or have other procedures.

Many babies have heart murmurs, but most do not have heart disease. Approximately 1 in 100 babies are born with heart disease, so it is important that your baby have a full evaluation by a pediatrician and possibly a pediatric cardiologist if your doctor thinks it is necessary.

Important to know: the term "heart murmur" is not synonymous with heart defect. In children, because the chest wall is thin it is fairly easy to hear the normal "squirting" sound made as the heart squirts blood out. These murmurs are completely normal sounds and are heard in 6-7 out of every 10 children. Some murmurs are indeed caused by abnormalities so check with a peds cardiologist.

Chest Neck Hand Heart Breathing Valve Cardiac echo ECHO Cardiac Cardiology Heart murmur

Look, listen, feel.

Good cards will look, listen and feel chest, neck and peripheral pulses. They will likely have you perform maneuvers such as squat, hand grip or breath hold. If necessary they may obtain cardiac echo which delineates valves, chambers and function of the heart.

Not usually!

A heart murmur only denotes an extra heart sound heard when we listen to the chest. Most of the time, this is absolutely nothing, either "innocent" or benign, and is just the flow of normal blood through the heart. In a very small % of patients, the murmur heard is due to a pathology in the heart. Depending on the pathology, and it's extent, a patient may have certain symptoms including fatigue.
