Not lupus!: Many people are diagnosed with lupus with positive anas and joint pain. Your son's presentation is quite atypical for sle. My instincts say he does not have sle, he is male and young, which in and of itself, quite rare. I suspect your son has not been seen by a doctor with rheumatology expertise.
