See your doctor: Lymph node enlargement in the neck can't be from diverticulitis, and it would be very unlikely as a side effect of cipro (ciprofloxacin) or flagyl. I would guess something else is going on, which might be causing both the lymph node inflammation and intestinal or abdominal symptoms similar to diverticulitis. Attacks can occur once or repeatedly and usually are treated with antibiotics, reserving surgery for those with complications or for severe, repeat attacks. A ct while you hurt should show inflammation, but a ct just before the attack can be normal.
