For a hydroxy vit d deficiency- should I take vit d2 or vit D3 supplements? And what dose should I take to improve it?
Am taking 50k iu vit 8wks for vit d deficiency. Should i take magnesium as well to support absorption and decrease muscle pain? If so what dosage? Ty!
Don't think so: I see no reason to take magnesium with this good dose of vit d. If you wonder about deficiency of magnesium, you can ask your doc to check levels. It is ok to take otc mag 250 mg or 400mg daily for a few days on your own without blood test. It is true that vitamin D is better absorbed if taken with food, and that metformin's tolerability (at least early on) may be better if taken with food.
