Not advised: Your baby may have an upper respiratory or lower respiratory infection. I would advise, baby nasal saline and gently removing the nasal mucus and checking the temperature. Nasal saline...: It sounds like your little one has a cold. Nasal saline drops (and occasional suctioning of secretions if they are making it difficult to feed/sleep) can help her feel better. Try a humidifier in the room where she is sleeping. If she develops fever (38) or seems to be in pain, see her pediatrician. ? colic: This may be a form of colic versus food intolerance. Both can involve lots of gas and discomfort. If your baby is breast fed, then i would remove all dairy form your diet for a trial of a week. If taking formula, would try one that may be gentler. Also in the US, we are using probiotiics for upset tummies in babies. See if you can find Gerber colic drops, or the equivalent. Hope this helps ...Read more

This sleep: pattern suggests you CAN sleep normally, just not during certain days. What's different during those days? My first guess is daily responsibilities and general stress, which you might check out with family/friends, or even a counselor. Do you change anything else? Diet? Exercise? Social patterns?
