Any: Generally, fluid is used to cleanse the cervix reducing bacteria and increasing the chances of pregnancy. The fluid can be left after the transfer and is experienced by the patient as leaking fluid. We tell patients that the embryos can no fall out after the transfer. Probably not: Generally you would like an embryo transfer to go without any bleeding, cramping or discomfort; however, a few twinges should not generally affect the success of the transfer and subsequent implantation rates. If the results are low, it is generally indicative that you may not be pregnant. At our clinic, even if the levels are low, we repeat them in 3-4 days, "just to be sure".
