Yes, but...: Note also that "flu vaccine" specifically covers influenza virus (and only targeted strains at that), where as people often refer to the "flu" during "flu season" as any viral illness (there are lots of other viruses which can cause fever and other symptoms besides influenza!). I've the flu & am quite dizzy & nauseous. It seems worse after a cough. Does the act of coughing bother the stomach somehow?
It does in you: One of the hallmarks of viral infections, as opposed to bacterial infections, is they frequently hit multiple organ systems at once. Not just your head but also your throat and your bowels and your arms and legs, etc. The good thing is that they are self-limited, lasting just a week or two. We suggest symptomatic relief-Tylenol, Motrin, fluids, bed rest and you'll get better soon. ...Read more

Possibly: It is possible that you are getting the stomach virus and the nausea is a sign that it is coming. It is also possible that you will not get the full infection and just have a mild case with only the nausea. If it is a virus you can't make it go away sooner but you can do some things to ease your nausea. Take an antacid, avoid acidic foods, stay hydrated ad take a probiotic. Feel better soon. ...Read more
