Depends: How long ago was the surgery? Alcohol drinking in moderation may be alright if you have had several days to heal first. Do not combine alcohol and pain medications. Also be sure that you are eating alright after surgery first.

I know about foods, exercise and travel, but how soon after tonsil removal surgery is it safe to drink alcohol? And also to be kissing/intimate?
Tonsil: Usually three weeks or so when the tonsils have healed and the alcohol won't burn. About the same time for intimacy. Suggest though that you ask your surgeon.
How long after discontinuing motrin 400mg (for surgery) is it safe to drink alcohol? I take painkillers about once every 2 years.
Never: Alcohol is a poison and it never did any body any good, ever, so stay away from it. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
Depends...: Cosmetic surgery is considered “elective”; patients should be at their best state of health prior to proceeding. In other words, you will want to have be completely recovered, in good physical and mental health, psychosocially stable... For some patients this may be as early as one month after gallbladder surgery; some patients will need more time. Best wishes.See 4 more doctor answers
Ebv VCA 1 was 3.72 and 0.56 in august. Today it is 5.14 and 0.68 why is it going up instead of going down. Is it safe to have gallbladder surgery?
EBV: The serologies available for assessing the presence or absence of clinical infection with this organism must be examined so that you are looking at all the antibody reactions together and then interpreted in light of their clinical context by examining the patient. I am not aware of anybody who would put off gallbladder surgery based solely on the values you have quoted. Good luck.
20 weeks pregnant and just had gallbladder surgery. So constipated. Is it safe to take an enema? Been taking colace (docusate sodium) and drinking juice. It's not helping.
Yes: Alcohol should not create gall bladder issues. Fatty foods flare the gall bladder.
Most likely: I'm not aware of any medical condition associated with having a gall bladder removed that precludes one from drinking alcohol. There are a lot of medical reasons for avoiding alcohol, so check with your doctor and make sure you do not have one: eg: blood pressure problems, obesity, gastritis, other medications, liver disease, a substance use disorder, insomnia, anger issues, etc..
Yes, trial it first: Alcohol absorption or metabolism is not affected by the absence of the gallbladder. The liver should be able to handle moderate amounts of alcohol. However since bile, which would have once been stored in the gallbladder and release after meals, is now constantly expelled into the GI tract, you may find that the combination with alcohol may change your bowel habits and/or lead to some heartburn.
I don't think: Alcohol in moderate amounts will be harmful after cholecystectomy, unless you have other conditions. Consult your surgeon just to make sure.
