So, post Nissen, you swallow and hear gurgle back up to throat, like a had before Nissen. Now I have no reflux, but the gurgle. Is that because air is hitting the wrap and coming back up? I'm three weeks post Nissen.
Post nissen: Hi AmeetG, you will likely notice all sorts of different things. A 'gurgle' is not likely a dangerous finding. Things to looks out for are fever, loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, pain, 'knot in your stomach', and severe bloating that doesn't go away. See your doctor should these issues arise. Hope that helpsSee 1 more doctor answer
Had Nissen one week ago to the day. I meet with my surgeon on Monday, but I feel my procedure failed. I swallow and can hear it gurgle back up to my throat. Am I still healing and this resolved, or failed Nissen?
Need time: One week is not enough time to determine if the procedure was a success or not. Follow your surgeon's advice, and give it time.See 1 more doctor answer

Swallowed wrong and had a throat spasm...Kinda felt like a marble trying to go down. Sound serious?
Swallowing: If the stuck food did not cause inability to speak, sudden shortness of breath, or inability to swallow your saliva you will recover. If there is any prolonged pain with swallowing you should see your doctor.
Could be: It could be your eustation tubes opening and closing... Especially if it is a clicking type sound... That would be normal. Otherwise I would suggest seeing a physician for an evaluation.

I have a popping sound in my throat every time I swallow. This started after a severe gagging episode during an illness. Is this concerning?
Well if just about: Anybody exhales really, really hard they can hear a little whining or wheezing. However, if you have shortness of breath or wheezing with more normal exhalations - this could mean that there is some swelling in your airways. If you have difficulty breathing please seek medical evaluation. Take care.
