My nose is bleeding but nothing is coming out of my nose. I know it's bleeding because I sneezed into a tissue and I saw blood. What should I do?

Nothing: A small show of blood this way is of minimal consequence. You can lubricate inside your nose with vaseline or Aquaphor. If sneezing and/or congestion is an issue, a non-sedating antihistamine may help such as loratadine [Claratin] etc. Nasal steroid such as triamcinolone or fluticasone is more effective but occasionally causes bleeding. Often both are used. ...Read more

After I sneeze I hear a wistle sound from my nose, some times I notice small bleeding in one side of my nose, are those symptoms related?

After I sneeze I hear a wistle sound from my nose, some times I notice small bleeding in one side of my nose, are those symptoms related?

Very likely: As you sneeze and increase pressure temporarily it can get transmitted to the ears. The fact that you are having bleeding suggests some issues with equalizing pressure in your ears which has potential to lead to rupture in eardrum. The bleeding may be from small vessels on the eardrum. An exam by provider will be able to assess for any tears or problems with pressure. ...Read more

See doctor: First one needs to find out the cause for the bleeding which usually originates at the nasal septum. One also needs to know if you are using an OTC nasal spray, cocaine, or a nasal steroid spray (directed towards the center instead of the sides of the nose). Your family doctor should be able to help you out on this. ...Read more

I will have a sinus lift op. What should I do if I got bleeding in my nose after sneezing? In case bleeding continues, what can my oms specialist do?

Sinus amaze healing: The sinus membrane is very fragile yet has amazing healing potential. Do anything you can to avoid sneezing. Take decongestants and avoid placing "back pressure" into the nose. A small perforation of the sinus membrane can occur during a sinus lift procedure 4 implants. You want to avoid enlarging it and letting the bone graft escape. A few blood drops ok. Is a bleed on the brain rare or a hemmoridge? I'm 19 years old. Scared to sneeze in case I burst a vessel

Is a bleed on the brain rare or a hemmoridge? I'm 19 years old. Scared to sneeze in case I burst a vessel

I wouldn't worry: People don't sneeze and have a stroke/hemorrhage.If so we would all die before we became adults. A rare few will have a congenital or acquired weakness in the blood vessels of their brain and that weak area could burst with something as simple as taking a dump. Quit obsessing about dying suddenly and address the issues which you find hard in your life. The work would be more rewarding. ...Read more

My eyes and ears bleed profusely whenever I sneeze and sometimes fart when I sleep and I wake up from it. What is happening to my life.?

Hmm...: These symptoms need to be evaluated immediately in person by a medical professional. I would need much more information to even make an educated guess as to what is going on with you given the symptoms you have mentioned. I just got my period four days ago and every time I sneeze or cough my uterus twitches (there is 0 pain). My period has not been as heavy as it usual. What could this be from? Could I be pregnant and it's actually just implantation bleeding?

I just got my period four days ago and every time I sneeze or cough my uterus twitches (there is 0 pain). My period has not been as heavy as it usual. What could this be from? Could I be pregnant and it's actually just implantation bleeding?

Likely a period, but: Wait. A positive pregnancy test can tell a woman that prior spotting was actually implantation spotting. It is hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have been) or 1 week after starting a "weird" period. ...Read more

Why does my gum bleed?

Why does my gum bleed?

CauseYou don't floss: If you don't floss daily (never skipping days) your gums will continue to bleed. That is because plaque will build up and your gums will have an almost immediate inflammatory bleeding response to its "foreign" nature. Toothbrushing for good oral hygiene is a total myth! If it really worked, there would be no tooth decay or gum disease! ...Read more
