When I cough, my head throbs one, hard time about two seconds later. Ahy idea why and how to fix it/?
Could be significant: Your presenting syptom is not described in detail---how frequent? How long it last? Does the same happen after you sleep or bend over? ---the question has to do with increase pressure of spinal fluid when you cough---i want to rule out chiari malformation or pseudotumour cerebri--may need MRI if symptom is always consistent. ...Read more

Difficult to diagnose. Do you have pain, upper back or history of headaches or is this new. Are you sleeping at night, ? Not normal: But it doesn't necessarily mean that it's life-threatening. It likely is from a muscle spasm of the temporalis muscle, the big muscle at either side of the head.
