When I blink I see a black spot?

Doctor can evaluate: If a new vision symptom pops up, one should see his primary care doctor and/or an ophthalmologist (eye doctor). Vision is so important, so it is good to have a doctor get the whole story and examine the eyes. It may or may not be something to worry about, but one cannot tell without an evaluation. ...Read more

My boyfriend is very into fishing and recently found a great spot an hour away so now I barely see him, how should I handle this?

Your relationship: I would suggest that when life hands you lemons you make lemonade. It's great that he has found a good fishing spot, and my advice is to be as supportive as you can. Plantar fascitiis?: Don't be fooled. It is possible you have platar fascittis which is a common source of heel pain. It is not visible as the ligamnet that is hurting is in the foot and not on the outside of your foot. Try icing it, wear arch supports or orthotics in your shoes to support the ligament. Stretch your feet before getting out of bed in the morning. You can take an antiinflammatory if pain is severe. ...Read more

What may cause someone to see an increase of floaters/spot things?

What may cause someone to see an increase of floaters/spot things?

Floaters: It sounds as if you have had a posterior vitreous detachment. This is a situation where the vitreous(jelly) of the eye detaches (not a retinal detachment), it then "crumples" up leaving dots, spots, strands of blurry vitreous; i.e. The "floater". You should have an exam to ensure the incident did not tear the retina, which could lead to a retinal detachment. ...Read more
