Seeing Spots When Blinking
Doctor can evaluate: If a new vision symptom pops up, one should see his primary care doctor and/or an ophthalmologist (eye doctor). Vision is so important, so it is good to have a doctor get the whole story and examine the eyes. It may or may not be something to worry about, but one cannot tell without an evaluation. ...Read more
Floater: If the black spot moves with blinks, then it's likely in the vitreous. If not new and only one without flashes or decreased vision, may not be anything serious. If it's a fixed black spot, then should be checked out for a potential retinal or brain problem. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Eye Floaters: The black spots are actually more commonly referred to as floaters and have the tendency to float around in and out of the field of vision. Sufferers can get this in one eye or both and it is especially noticeable in areas of bright sunshine or lightly colored frames. No treatment is necessary for this condition which is considered a normal variant. ...Read more

My boyfriend is very into fishing and recently found a great spot an hour away so now I barely see him, how should I handle this?
Your relationship: I would suggest that when life hands you lemons you make lemonade. It's great that he has found a good fishing spot, and my advice is to be as supportive as you can. If you don't like going fishing but can enjoy being there, go. If you don't like being there at all, or cleaning fish, be supportive, help him have a good time and ask him to clean the fish before he brings them home! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I sometimes see a temporary black or white spot in my vision. Sometimes in the centre sometimes in side vision. It looks like I've looked at a light ?
I feel like a bug is crawling on my scalp in the same exact place on and off for 16 hours now. husband keeps checking the spot and can't see anything!
Sensation: that sensation you are having sounds like neuropathy. A nerve is irritated in your scalp. Look for a rash in the area, it may be shingles. Many neuropathies resolve ( like when you hit your "funny bone"), if it persists for over a day, see your doctor. If you are having any weakness in your arm or face or slurring words or balance issues, see a doctor now. ...Read more
I knocked my shoulder against a door and the next day definite petechiae appeared in that spot, i don't recall this ever happening before. Should i wait to see if they resolve or is this serious?
Floaters: It sounds as if you have had a posterior vitreous detachment. This is a situation where the vitreous(jelly) of the eye detaches (not a retinal detachment), it then "crumples" up leaving dots, spots, strands of blurry vitreous; i.e. The "floater". You should have an exam to ensure the incident did not tear the retina, which could lead to a retinal detachment. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
