When I Am Finished Having A Bowel Movement Why Is The Toilet Water All Greasy Looking

The gastrointestinal tract starts at the mouth, travel down the tunnel (esophagus), which connects to the stomach, which then empties into the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum---the three parts of the small intestine (@25 feet). This empties into the colon or large intestine (about 5 feet), which then becomes the sigmoid colon, rectum and out the anus. So, every morsel eaten ...Read more

I went to the restroom had a bowel movement and the toilet water was bloody should I be concerned?
Yes: Blood in the stool is abnormal and must be checked out. Possibilities include hemorrhoids, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, or a growth. Even if bleeding stops, I feel it's important to get checked by your physician. If profuse bleeding persists, go to the hospital emergency room. ...Read more

In the past few months, I have noticed what looks like oil floating on top of the water after I have had a bowel movement. Some of the water in the toilet looks shiney, like oil floating. Only after bm's.
What would cause water in toilet after bowel movement to be oily? Stool isn't floating, but water looked oily. No other symptoms.
Possibly in the food: There are fat substitutes that are poorly or not absorbed and thus pass thru the digestive system and can be present in the stool. A good example is Olestra, which has the same taste and mouthfeel as fat, but it passes through the gastrointestinal tract undigested without contributing calories or nutritive value to the diet. More popular in snacks such as potato chips, it can be found elsewhere ...Read more
I am having bright red blood in the toilet after a bowel movement. Do I need to go to the e r? I feel like I am going but when done there's nothing but bright red blood in the water and after wiping
Yes. You need to see a doctor for this right away. It may be something as simple as hemorrhoids, but it could also be much more serious.
Bleeding like you've described could represent infection, inflammation, a vascular malformation, or a tumor. Though it often stops on its own, bleeding from the bowel can sometimes become very severe and can even be life threatening. If it does stop, that does not mean that the underlying problem is gone, so you should see a doctor even if this goes away by itself. ...Read more

A bit "unusual" and "excessive" for what is a usual dose of the bisacodyl tablets but it is meant to "clean out" your bowel and prepare it for examination. I am assuming that's why you took this rather POWERFUL laxative! I am not sure of what your question is!

Pain in lower back after a bowel movement, difficulty going to the toilet, long duration... drink enough water, eat healthily... any suggestions?
Went to the restroom twice yesterday and both times there was blood in the toilet to turn the water red after I had bowel movement. Endoscopy Wednesda?
Let dr know asap: You have intestinal bleeding. Continue to see the GI dr, as you need to have the source identified asap. If you have any weakness, tiredness or signs you are getting anemic from blood loss, than go to nearest ER. The bright red signifies it is probably from the lower intestinal area and a colonoscopy will be the likely diagnostic test you need. Best wishes. ...Read more

I EAT 5 MEALS PER DAY, I TAKE PLENTY WATER BUT I USUALLY HAVE 1 BOWEL MOVEMENT DAILY. SOMETIMES I DON'T GO AT ALL THROUGHT A DAY. IS THAT REGULAR?
Yes: It is not necessary to have a bowel movement each day. In fact, some normal people only go once every three or four days, which is perfectly acceptable if that is their normal bowel pattern. As long as you are not having pain or other symptoms along with it, then I would not be concerned by your bowel movement frequency. Eat a lot of fiber. Good luck. ...Read more

First of all: Go on a liquid diet until you are completely emptied avoiding caffeine and alcohol.
