What to expect with surgery 2 correct ulnar drift, swan neck deformities n fingers &carpal tunnel surgery? Will I have to stay in hospital? Painful?

Moderately painful: None of the procedures is particularly painful, but there will be a number of incisions. You will be in a splint, that also keeps the pain down. Would not anticipate hospitalization unless your general medical condition warrants it. Suggest you go over these questions with your surgeon, since everyone is different. ...Read more

Some patients who have surgery get a lot of IV fluids and this can cause swelling and weight gain after surgery that the patient gradually urinates out after surgery. But an acdf is a relatively minor surgery, so it would be unusual to have gotten a lot of fluid. You should get a medical check up. Thank you for your question. ...Read more

How long does a meningooma surgery take and how long is the hospital stay?

Dependent: This is dependent on the location of the meningioma, how large it is, if it's fully removable, and the patient's clinical status prior to surgery. Surgery for aortic aneurysm. How long is stay in hospital afterwards?

Surgery for aortic aneurysm. How long is stay in hospital afterwards?

Depends: Patients that have minimally invasive aortic surgery using stent grafts can often go home the next day. In my practice patients who have open aortic surgery typically stay in the hospital an average of four days. Some institutions have longer lengths of stay. Aneurysms above the renal arteries also stay longer because of the more extensive nature of the surgery. ...Read more
