How does adolescent anxiety work? How does it effect teen boys? Does it basically mean teens are more prone to anxiety and it'll go away in adulthood?
Anxiety is treatable: I think you mean anxiety which gets in the way of everyday functioning at school and/or socially. Anxiety disorders are in part genetic, so it's not your fault. Teen boys and girls can develop bad anxiety causing avoidance, isolation and even depression. Boys may be less likely to ask for help. Speak to parents, school psychologist, social worker, but know you're not alone. See: https://secure02.kidshealth.org/teen/your_mind/problems/anxiety_tips.html Hope this helps. ...Read more

Last rabies question... Once early symptoms begin, can someone get better before it gets worse, or does it usually just go downhill from there?
WHAT is the Norovirus natural habitat or host? How does it start up an outbreak? Where does it go when outbreaks die down?
CDC: The studies I read on the CDC's website suggested the most common mode of transmission is foodbourne, with restaurants, schools, hospitals, and long-term care facilities being at the top of the list of most common places to contract it. It most likely always is alive in some food or someone but transmission is held at bay or can be increased depending on contact and hand washing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends: If you are woman, not a good idea to take a wait and see approach as they are linked to abnormal cell changes and even cancer of the cervix down the road. If you are a man and not sexually active (so to not transmit them) its less urgent o seek care, however treating them early is cheaper and easier. Why not get them fixed now? ...Read more
Do people grow out of adhd? If my daughter has ADHD as a child, will she always have it, or will it go away as she gets older?
Possibly: About 50% of children "grow out" of adhd. Many very successful people have adhd, so the most important thing is for your daughter to get professional help [psychiatrist or psychologist], and if her school work is suffering, to see if she needs extra help in school [speak with the school guidance counselor who can guide you]. Hope this answer helps. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Older man wanders. Sometimes I can't control and he gets in an neighbor garden patch. They don't mind. Is it ok?
Safety first: If he just wanders calmly & isn't putting himself or anyone else in danger (getting agitated/combative, wandering into road or traffic, etc) he will probably do better at home in a familiar environment getting care from people who know him well & love him. But, if he is putting himself or others in harm's way, even if its unintentional, he may need more help. A geriatrician can help guide options. ...Read more
