When Does Lh Surg
I am trying to get pregnant. First to month was unsuccessful. My LH surg was low. I wasn't use birth control pills in past two years. What should I do?
I read vitex berry (herbal pill) is good for hormone balance. My LH surg is low. I'm trying to get pregnant for 2 month with no success. Is that right?
Try the standard 1st: Why use an herb which may or may not actually do what it claims, and may or may not be safe. Absence of evidence is not the same as evidence of absence. An OB can give you the exact hormone you need, in the exact amount needed at exactly the right time. The idea that "natural" things are safe or superior to human hormones made in a lab is fatally flawed. Example: Rattlesnake venom is "natural". ...Read more
It's been 2 month I am trying to get pregnant. According to ovulation test my LH surg is low. What should I do? My uterus and ovary is fine and normal
Birth control pills: Leutinizing hormone (lh) and follical stimulating hormone (fsh) levels spike right in the middle (between periods) of your menstrual cycle. This spike causes your ovary to release an egg and also begins the process of building up the lining of your uterus in preparation for a fertilized egg to implant. Birth control pills prevent the mid-cycle spike in lh and fsh. ...Read more

What does a low LH level in a male signify? What does a HIGH LH level in a male signify? Is 1.9 normal LH in a male??
Normal: Hi. LH 1.9 is normal in an adult male. High (above normal) LH is seen in primary testicular failure (Klinefelter's, mumps orchitis, some chemotherapies, etc). Low LH is seen in men taking high dose testosterone/anabolic steroids and in central hypogonadism (e.g., Kallman's syndrome). The most common idiopathic hypogonadism we see in adult men has low testosterone and inappropriately normal LH, FSH ...Read more
Short: The LH surge is very short. The LH stays elevated in your bloodstream only for a number of hours but then may spill into the urine for a day or two. If the LH surge on an ovulation prediction kit continues for many days, it is possible your LH levels may be chronically elevated rather than the kit indicating a surge. ...Read more
No: The lh kits should only be positive for no more than a few days. Some women with pcos have chronically elevated lh levels causing the test to turn out positive every day. ...Read more
A single lh value must be taken in context of
your age, history, and where you are in your cycle. If you have polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos), this level could be present at any time. Likewise, this can be true in the perimenopause (yes, a possibility even at your age). Most likely, however, this indicates the midcycle surge that triggers ovulation in the next 24 to 36 hours. ...Read more
Why did my ovulation test pick up 2 lh surges about 5 days apart? Which time did I actually ovulate?
How long after the first LH surge do you get a positive on ov test. I'm on day 2 of positive LH surge...
2 day surge: Is not unusual. 'how long after the first surge do you get a positive test' is hard to answer because it depends on whether you mean from the start of the surge or from the peak. It's unimportant as far as timing ttc. ...Read more
My LH surges are over 8 days long for the past 6 months with regular 29 day cycles. What could cause this, and how do I know when I am ovulating?
I am skeptical: That your LH surges are actually 8 days long if your cycles are regular. The OPK you are using is either misleading you or may be used incorrectly. The OPK is not intended to be used each day once you detect a surge, so I'd suggest strongly that after you get a + you stop using the OPK, it is not necessary or useful to keep testing. Hope this helps. ...Read more
I have a question for you. If LH surge detected on Jan 4, 2016. and then sex in the next day was Jan 5th 2016. is that too late or not? Thanks.
No way to know...: When the LH surge is detected, ovuluation usually occurs in 12-48 hours. Its not possible to know exactly when you ovulated this month. It may or may not have been too late. Best wishes! ...Read more
On 14/05 my levels were LH 18 iu/l FHS 5.6 AND Oest 257 pmol however, 1 month later, my levels were LH 150 iu/l FHS 22 and Oest 696. How can this be?
How accurate are ovul. Tests? I am using clear blue one day I had pos LH surge on day12 my next cycle I had a pos LH surge on day 16 is this "normal"?
It depends: They can be very accurate, but - the more irregular your cycles, the less accurate they become. I can't make guarantees online, but I expect if you got a clear + each cycle, and if it was only one + in the cycle then the tests are probably correct. Cd 12 then cd 16 could be correct, but i'd expect the first cycle was shorter than the second? ...Read more
There is no surge: During implantation. LH is elevated through most of the second half of the cycle when implantation happens, but there is no surge. ...Read more
Possibly: The lh surge causes you to ovulate. Just because you have not detected it during testing does not necessarily mean you aren't having one, but it would require more evaluation. See your physician, there are meds that can help. ...Read more
