When Does Depo Provera Wear Off
Have tried depo shot and seasonique. Both cause irregular, random bleeding. Enough needed to wear pad. Next step to try?
Different method: There are several other options. Depo and seasonique frequently cause irregular bleeding. The more traditional types of pills with monthly periods are less likely to cause irregular bleeding if taken right as with rings or patches. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD causes some irregular bleeding at first but then makes periods shorter and lighter and sometimes to the point that you don't bleed at all.Hope this helps ...Read more
My last depo injection was a year ago but I'm not having a period yet is it a year from when wears off or last injection? I would love to get pregnant
I got my first Depo-Provera shot June 12 its due again but I'm not getting it what symptoms might I go though while the Depo-Provera wears off and my body regulates?
Bleeding: You can expect irregular periods for awhile. If you haven't been having periods it may take awhile for them to resume and they will probably be irregular at first. If you are not ready for pregnancy, use another method of contraception since you can conceive before you have that first period. ...Read more
Months: It takes about 3 months to get out of your system, which is why you have to be very diligent about getting your next shot right around the exact time 3 months after your last one to ensure you have proper birth control protection. And remember to still use condoms because it does not protect you from STDs. Best wishes! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How long does it take for the regular period to return after the first shot of depo wears off?Can u get pregnant within two months after it wears off?
Today is my last day on being the Depo-Provera shot for three months, how long will it take until it wears off? I want to get pregnant soon
3 months to 2 years: as there is variability depending on each individual patient. I would not recommend being pregnant at 16. At least finish your high school education or consider a vocational/technical school to give your future child a life with financial stability to be able to adequately provide for his or her needs. The average cost to raise a child from birth to age 18 is $241,080. ...Read more
Im virgin, only had two Depo-Provera shots, now off for 9 months. Menstrual is irregular when can I ovulate again? And when can this shot wear off?
Up to a year: Unfortunately, a couple of depo shots may hang around in your system for up to a year. If you are having some irregular periods, then at least that says your system is "waking up" from being put to sleep... It is difficult to say whether or not you are having ovulatory cycles -- you could be now, but just with irregular periods. This will eventually straighten out. ...Read more
I had my first Depo-Provera Shot in june and As soon as it wears off I plan to get pregnant what are some tips or suggestions to help me get pregnant fast?
Healthy living: Over the next 3 months as your shot effectiveness wanes, start getting your body in excellent health. Eat right, start taking Folate (folic acid) supplement & exercise daily, don't get any STD's. Then when the time is right, your body will be most receptive to a pregnancy. Then you leave it up to God and sex to create life. Even without having been on a contraceptive, it is normal to take a year to conceive. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My wife took the Depo-Provera shot once, its been almost a year and she has not been able.too get pregnant? Does it take that long too wear off from 1 dose
Right away: You can start trying to conceive right away. Are you sure that's a good idea at 16 years of age? One should ideally finish high school and have a job allowing one to support a child, as children cost, over 18 years, on average over $250, 000. I notice celexa (citalopram). 16 years of age, a history of depression and a new baby are not a good combination. Consider waiting until you are older, more stable. ...Read more
After depo provera (medroxyprogesterone) wears off, is it normal for periods to return in a longer cycle than before depo?
I started the depo shot 2 months ago ,I started seeing spotting of blood but it's never been enough to fill up or wear a pad just when I pee. Is this normal ? I'm beginning to become scared .
Not Uncommon: Having no period or having slight spotting with DepoProvera between injections is not unusual. By your explanation I assume the blood is vaginal and no concern of urinary tract blood that might possibly indicate a urinary tract infection or some other problem. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
