Three days in a row of positive opks (nondigital). Temp didn't spike until two days after the THIRD day of pos opk. When did I ovulate?

Three days in a row of positive opks (nondigital). Temp didn't spike until two days after the THIRD day of pos opk. When did I ovulate?

Not specific: The spike noted in the urine is the LH surge, which occurs about 24 hours before ovulation. The temp change is very non-specific and can be affected by a lot of things. You can probably look back to see when ovulation occurred by when your period starts, which should be 14 days after you ovulate. ...Read more

I usually get at least 3-4 dark pos opk's just before o. I know that ovulation occurs 24-48 hrs later. Which OPK should I use to determine ovulation?

OPK: It seems that clearplan easy is probably the easiest to find, and that clearplan and ovuquick are the ones most discussed and recommended by reproductive endocrinologists. ...Read more

I had a positive OPK this morning but I'm unsure if it is from ovulation or early pregnany ?

I had a positive OPK this morning but I'm unsure if it is from ovulation or early pregnany ?

OPK is not hPT: OPK were never intended to be used as a pregnancy test: the correct use of OPK is to start early and discontinue after it is positive. A hPT is accurate about 12 days after ovulation and is more accurate for pregnancy at this early time. You don't say "when" in cycle you are testing so I can't comment further, but likely it's not pregnancy. Good wishes. ...Read more

3 nearly positive OPKs the last three days. Ovulation pain also. Would this mean I'm ovulating or nearly ovulating?

3 nearly positive OPKs the last three days. Ovulation pain also.
Would this mean I'm ovulating or nearly ovulating?

Yes and no: Ovulation occurs usually within 36 hours of the first test turning positive. So, it doesn't matter how many turn positive, the first one counts. Depending on the test, I'm not sure what "nearly positive' means, but the hormone that those tests check for does not gradually increase. It's a sudden spike. I'm guessing that you have already ovulated, and the first "nearly," was positive. ...Read more

My OPK has been positive 2 days now when will i ovulate?

My OPK has been positive 2 days now when will i ovulate?

Ovulation prediction: Ovulation predictor kits (opk) predict when you will ovulate. When you detect the first positive that means you will ovulate within the next 24 hours. That means ovulation takes place next day after positive test. Once you see the first positive, you don't need to continue checking as the test will stay positive for 2 days then turn negative again. ...Read more

I got a positive digital OPK on cycle day 8. Is it possible to ovulate this early?

I got a positive digital OPK on cycle day 8. Is it possible to ovulate this early?

Yes: Although it is not common, it is possible. For women with decrease ovarian reserve, sometime ovulation can occur even earlier. The reason that happen is due to elevated fsh level, which stimulate follicle growth and ovulation occurs earlier than the mid of the cycle. But for you, if that only happen occationally, should not cause concern. ...Read more

4 consecutive days of positive opks, did ovulation happened or not? Is this normal?

4 consecutive days of positive opks, did ovulation happened or not? Is this normal?

OPK: The accuracy of opk varies - sadly, the opk are more reliable the more regular your cycles are normal, meaning the women who need them most will get the least use out of them. 5 days of "lh surge" is not physiologic, so it's either a bad test or you have a very unusual ovulation. ...Read more
