NO! Doc is WRONG!!!: The world health organization & most experts recommend breastfeeding only with no other foods for the first 6 months of life. 4-6 months: The aap recommends solids being started by spoon no earlier than 4 months. I know of 2 exceptions. Some experts recommend cereal to thicken the milk for babies with acid reflux disease ( gerd ). And rarely some babies who are being fed too much formula seem to benefit from cereal earlier.
