Always with caution: Walking pneumonia was used as a term, i believe , for mycoplasma infection. The idea of treatment is usually 5 days they're ok or 48 hours of antibiotics with no more fever. People don't always respond the same. People of good immune system have protection but we all get infections one way or another. Yes: Most pneumonias are caused by viruses and they will be self limited meaning they will get better over time as your own immune system kicks in. Even bacterial pneumonias may get better without treatment, but will often respond more quickly with treatment with an appropriate antibiotic. ...Read more
