When Can I Use Neosporin On Stithes
How should i treat this scrape on my eyelid?,keep it moist with water?,or can i use like vaseline?
Clean of dirt: you wont be able to get a band aid over it, so an antibacterial creme will help occlude it from dirt and have some mild prevention of infection. Signs of infection are increasing redness, swelling purulence and these need prompt treatment. ...Read more

I have a boil that popped on my buttocks. just got on meds for it but it still hurts when I try to take a shower. can I use Neosporin or Vaseline?
Everything wrong: It does not matter what you put on the surface. If it is localized and draining, hot soaks may help. Stop clinda. It is not contributing to healing and is a risk for C. Diff. The sooner you stop it the better. Throw away the neosporin. It is totally useless and is a common cause of allergic reactions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Possibly: Am not aware of any study that has been done on this. The first question would obviously be "What wounds?" and what are they due to? Need more info before making further comments about this, but you might try calling the company that manufactures this and asking them about it. ...Read more

How can I prevent back acne and on my bum? I know it develops bc i exercising. I exfoliate when necessary and use witch hazel sometimes as a toner.
Acne: Your doctor may be able to help you with prescribing a antibiotic/acne medicated body wash as well as retin-a. This will help address the 3 ways that lead to acne - oil production, clogged pores, and bacteria. You may also try to wear lose fitting clothing particularly during activities with high perspiration. ...Read more
I recently got a mole removed from my back and it left an open wound and i was instructed to use vaseline on it.Can i melt vaseline and apply it also?
Vaseline: You shouldn't have to melt it. As it warms to body temp it softens. The easiest thing to do may be to put some Vaseline on a band-aid and apply it over the wound. That way the Vaseline will be less likely to get on your clothes or anything else. You can also use triple antibiotic ointment or something similar. ...Read more
I got contact dermatitis on face/cheeks from polysporin, (bacitracin and polymyxin) and stopped using it. What can I do to make it heal faster and relieve the itch.
Yes: For small cuts, apply direct pressure for 10 minutes to stop bleeding. If this is successful, all you need to do is clean the area with soap and water and cover with plain vaseline and a band-aid. Repeat this once daily. There is no reason to use topical antibiotics like neosporin or bacitracin. Repeat daily until the skin heals over. If it becomes red, painful, or oozes pus, see your doctor. ...Read more
If I donate blood, for how long should I keep the bandage on my arm and when can I apply cream to lubricate the injection area to help it heal better?
in about an hour.
Suggest you will heal well without any creams or lotions but if you are worried about infection keep a simple dry sterile dressing ( eg: BandAid) on the spot for a few days!
Thanks for donating!

Simple Care: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so avoid trauma. Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected. Did this occur from sex, masturbation or some other cz? Checking with your doc is a good idea if it persists. ...Read more

Although: OINTMENTS as a "VEHICLE" (carrying agent" are more resistant to the effects of water they can be washed off.
