It depends: Generally Aspirin is still safe in those with a history ulcers so long as acid medications such as omeprazole, nexium, (esomeprazole) protonix, prevacid, etc are taken along with it to prevent recurrence. Can i take prevacid (lansoprazole) every other day or even 3 days? When i take the prevacid (lansoprazole) i don't sleep well at night. ?
Difficult To Say: Prevacid (lansoprazole) is in the class called proton pump inhibitors. Without knowing your specific condition, it would be difficult to recommend or not recommend dosing every 2 or 3 nights. It takes 12 - 16 hours for these drugs to work after the first dose and based on the half-life of these drugs, you may not get relief without a dose every night. GERD and Sleeve: GERD can worsen after a sleeve , hiatal hernia must be repaired to decrease those chances, bypass is a considered better operation in patients with GERD issues however one can not routinely use NSAIDS after that and definitely no smoking .
