When can I go swimming after receiving a pacemaker?

When can I go swimming after receiving a pacemaker?

Ask your implanter.: There are too many variables to give an overall accurate answer in all settings.
From the skin wound standpoint, as soon as they say you can immerse it in a bathtub, you could swim.

For a new pacemaker implant, you cannot raise your arm above your head until the wires heal in place; typically after a month. This would impact the reach for most swimming strokes. Ask your cardiologist. ...Read more

Currently treating vaginal fungal infection with clatrimazole (?), can I go swimming in pools or sea? How long to wait? I'm on holiday, I want to enjoy!

OK to swim: This doesn't need to interfere with swimming or any other holiday activity (except maybe vaginal sex!). If you're having significant external genital symptoms (e.g. labial or vulvar irritation and itching), some vigorous physical activities (e.g. biking, running, etc) might be a bit uncomfortable, but not harmful. Just use the medication as directed and do whatever isn't bothersome. ...Read more

Does anyone know, after gromet insertion can you go swimming or how long do you have to wait?

A few weeks: Hi
It takes a few weeks. Mostly we're waiting for the ear drum to heal around the grommet itself. After that swimming is generally ok. If you can get the soft earplugs that just sit on top and don't insert into the ear canal, that's better. I'd also stick with surface swimming in a swimming pool or ocean only. Avoid diving and lakes/ponds which can have higher amounts of bacteria. ...Read more
