Wheezing Cough Runny Nose
Get it checked: I'm guessing it hasn't really been a few months, only seemed like that. After all they are only 10 mo old. See if it's been continuous or are there 1-2 week breaks in the middle. If so, it could just be recurrent illnesses or frequent viruses. If it's really continuous, discuss with the pediatrician to see if there is more going on.See 1 more doctor answer

Why have I started wheezing after my cough left? Had postnasal drip led to cough, now runny nose, a week into this and now wheezing.
See a doctor: It looks like one thing is leading into another started with a cold, now probably affecting your breathing. You need to have it checked and treated, you may have a bronchitis. Call your doctor.
Been coughing and wheezing for a cpl wks. Finished z-pack on sat still coughing, wheezing and runny/stuffy nose. Worse at nite when on left side?
Viral illnesses: A lot of "wheezing" you hear is actually from the upper airway and is not wheezing in the sense of asthma. That said, if you are wheezing, you might have some asthma, and it was brought on by the recent viral illness you describe. The persistence of the cough afterwards is common. If you have a history of asthma, see your doctor. If not, be patient, but go to the doctor if symptoms persist.
See doctor: Sounds like a respiratory infection. However it is impossible to make a diagnosis based on 3 symptoms in one sentence.

Wheezing: Some viruses in infants are associated with wheezing, particularly the RSV virus. If he is working hard to breath, has poor PO intake of high fever, he should be checked. The treatment is symptomatic and involves keeping his nasal passages clear, elevating his head and making sure his room is not too hot or dry. All the best.

All connected: In Chinese medicine, your lungs are connected to your entire respiratory system, including your lungs, your throat, your bronchial tubes, and your nose. So if your lungs are weak in something like asthma it would be likely that you'd also have a runny nose. It means that you need some strengthening of your lungs, and you should probably quit smoking.See 3 more doctor answers
I have Wheezing and chest congestion with runny nose. Cough. Clear mucous. I have had for 3 days. Is it allergy? . I had bronchitis Three weeks ago.
Mgt: Most episodes of bronchitis are caused by viruses which can also trigger wheezing. If you are wheezing, an inhaler called Albuterol is indicated. You may also need to take another medication such as an inhaled steroid, and/or an anti histamine. I would suggest a follow up with your doctor. In the meantime, rest, stay well hydrated, and monitor your temperature.

Unrelated: I'd doubt that your current symptoms are related to fluticasone whether shaken or stirred. It appears that you may have developed a sinus infection. See your doctor to find out if you need an antibiotic or not. Usually I would wait about 10 days before prescribing an abx unless the symptoms are getting worse by the day.
My 3yr old woke up wheezing, complaining about his throat and tummy hurting. He has a bad bad cough and runny nose what do I do? & what does he have
Possible virus: Wheezing, cough and runny nose can be symptoms of a virus. Frequently there is fever as well. If these symptoms have occurred before or become recurrent, this could be early signs of asthma, especially if the child has eczema, food allergies, hayfever or parents with asthma. Wheezing suggests significant lung involvement and warrants a trip to the doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a sore throat &it feels almost raw on the left side, a runny nose, headaches, congestion, cough, little wheezing when I breath w/ discomfort.
The wheezing: It seems you have a viral infection but I am most concerned about the wheezing part, as a viral infection or any urti can trigger asthmatic symptoms. Consult a doctor and treat the wheeze.

This could be: Allergies, but I would recommend a visit to her doctor. With a cough for 4 weeks, she should be examined, so that the proper diagnosis can be made and proper treatment ordered if needed.

Cough benefits the host by reducing load and benefits the pathogen which may then spread via aerosol. ...Read more
