It depends.: It depends on whether or not you can eat gluten containing foods. If you can, it is likely ok. But if you have a problem, then avoid those foods. Vice versa: Food allergy may induce symptoms similar to ibs but ibs does not lead to food allergy. The best approach is avoidance of the offending foods and perhaps consult an allergist who can help you sort out whether your problem is from wheat allergy or gluten intolerance. ...Read more

Donnatal (phenobarbital atropine hyoscyamine and scopolamine) & Bentyl are prescription medications with known efficacy. Imo ibs is a functional problem caused by impingement of parasympathetic neural system within the pelvic presacral plexus. Pelvic girdle dysfunction from hypermobility is the culprit.
