Allergy? Chapped?: I suppose this could be allergy to a soap? In winter could be chapped from the cold and dryness. Could be an allergy to something you contacted. If this is soap allergy would obtain some neutral soap like neutragena which will not remove any more oil from skin. Vomiting : It sounds like you may have had a viral illness and the rash is due to the virus . However not having seen the rash it is difficult to tell . Could be shingles:(: Even though herpes zoster/shingles is uncommon in younger people your age, it can happen. The pain comes first; then the blistering rash can occur a few days later. Is a little bit of itching from methylprednosolone ok? No rash just itching. Just bothers me 2 days ago i ended up in the ER from a fire ant byte feeling great now! was prescribed methylprednisolone.. With some other stuff
Itching: Where is the itch all over? Or near the bites? Those fire ant bites can itch quite a bite and as the dose of steroids is tapered down you will start feeling them more.
