Shingles (Herpes Zoster) (Definition)

How to get rid of acne scars under $100. I have acne scars and have been trying to get rid of it so bad but I don't know what is good for a 15 year old boy! I looked up acid treatment and laser treatment but is unsure about which to pick.
Unfortunately you will not be able to get rid of acne scars for that amount.
The gold standard for acne scar improvement is fractional laser done multiple times - and that is usuallly between $500 to $800 per session.
If your scars are merely dark areas, you should use a good sunblock all the time and try a few of the dark spot correctors (neutrogena is one) any over the counter treatment will only be minimally effective in correcting discoloration, but if a big issue is dark marks, anything that helps is a plus.
Red marks will eventually resolve on their own if you don't "worry" the skin by picking or using abrasive scrubs.
As for actual scarring that causes a shadow because of the depth, your only solution lies in a medical office.
The big factor to control is your acne to prevent further scarring. If you are still breaking out, most dermatology visits will fall under insurance - as will the topical and oral medications. ...Read more

Are chemical peels, lemon juice, potato juice good for getting rid of acne scars? If not, what else?
Scar treatment: Depending on the problem with the scar there are treatments to improve them but nothing will completely remove them. I treat pigmented scars with bbl to lighten them, thick scars with fractional laser to soften them, or bad or wide scars with surgery to cut out the scar and re-sew it a more cosmetically pleasing way. The laser approach requires a series of treatments to be effective--often 5-6. ...Read more

Acne Scar Treatment: There are a number of options for acne scars depending on their size, shape, depth, and skin type. Laser resurfacing, usually fractional, may help improve the texture of the skin but may require multiple treatments. If there is deep scarring, the scars can be excised or cut out. Subcision, releasing the scar underneath the skin, along with fillers or fat can also improve the skin texture. ...Read more

Multiple options: Acne scars come in several "flavors." there are ice pick scars, boxcar scars, rolling scars and atrophic scars. Acne scars are difficult to treat. There is no "magic bullet." scar excision/revision, injectable fillers/fat, subcision, laser, chem peel, dermabrasion, etc. Many treatments can "improve" the flatness of the scar, and/or texture of the skin, but it will not make your skin flawless. ...Read more
My shingles are starting to scab I think, how long until they have scabbed and drop off? Also will they scar? How do I prevent scarring?
Acne meds: Accutane reduces new acne lesions, and seems to reduce the scars, and the color. Antibiotics reduce new lesions, but not scarring. Topical antibiotics the same. Retina seems to speed the healing of acne lesions, benzoyl peroxide also seems to speed the healing, reduces some new lesions, but not treat the scarring. Some will scar more, others less with similar acne. ...Read more

Seeing is believing: A doctor who has seen you has more information than we can get from you online. Scars cannot be completely removed. Very similar: Both techniques remove the top layers of the skin and are usually limited to epidermis. However most scars occur in the dermis. Peels or laser resurfacing that are used to treat the dermis may have a higher risk of scarring. Newer laser techniques use fractionated or pixelated therapy to avoid a full surface injury. By leaving islands of normal skin intact, healing proceeds faster & with less risk. ...Read more

Not effective: Acne scars are forever. Vitamin e oil in my experience is not good at treating these scars. You will need several treatments and they aren't cheap, but they are among the most effective and safest ways to treat acne scars. ...Read more
