What would happen if someone hit the back of the head.?

What would happen if someone hit the back of the head.?

Don't know: It all depends upon the person, their medical/surgical history, medications & supplements they're taking, and the force of the blow, among other issues. I can imagine nothing happening to laceration (cut) to skull fracture to internal bleeding (epidural vs subdural hematoma) to death. Sorry but too many variables for specific prediction. ...Read more

If the headache is not improving by now, or worsening; or if you notice weakness/loss of control of fingers or legs, vision changes, or confusion; then you would want to rush to the ER. ...Read more

My 7 month old fell backwards and hit the back of his head kinda hard. He cried but quickly settled down. He seems normal, but will he be ok?

Probably : Most kids who fall back from their sitting height do not generate the kind of force needed to hurt them. This would be different if they hit the corner of furnature or brickwork. They cry, and settle quiickly.I would be worried if the kid passed out at the time of the fall or developed repeated episodes of vomiting.Keep him on his normal nap/sleep schedule and monitor as needed. ...Read more
