What Would Cause A White Stool
What causes urine to be really foggy full of what I would assume is white blood cells and have a yellow greenish tint resembling limonade?
Just as you say..: Cloudy or foggy urine is due to particulate matter in the urine. This can be cells - white / red / cells from the lining of the bladder / or from crystals / or from debris generated in the tubules of the kidney. Very rarely stuff from the bowel or from the lymph system can show up in the urine as well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hmm: Pale or light colored stool can be related to lack of bile salts. I do not know what the cause is of bits of white material in the stool (if that is how it appears)l. If stool is predominantly white or light than possible causes include hepatitis, cirrhosis, or obstruction of a bile duct (i.e., gallstone or a mass). Any significant change in bowel habitus warrants assessment. ...Read more
CLAY STOOLS: If your stools have lost their color and are clay colored, it may be a sign of bile duct obstruction, so bile is not entering the stool. If this is associated with dark, tea colored urine, that is most likely. Some dietary changes could perhaps lead to light stools as well. If white/clay stools persist you need to contact your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

About 80% of my bowel movements contain what appears to be a clear sometimes offwhite colored mucous. What could cause this. Should i be concerned? Only symptom really is often bloating. Thanks.
Mucus with stool: Mucus discharge occurs in up to 50% of patients with irritable bowel syndrome, with or without pain. Mucus may also be produced in response to partial obstruction, chronic constipation, rectal dysfunction, infection, & even from secretory villous tumors of the rectum. At the very least stool studies & probably a sigmoidoscopy should be considered, but a more extensive evaluation may be warranted. ...Read more
Variable: But most concerning is a bleeding site in the upper GI tract which turns black when exposed to gastric acids. This can progress very rapidly to a very serious and life threatening situation. Non serious causes can be any meds containing bismuth such as pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) and certain foods. You should see your doctor promptly for evaluation and referral if indicated. ...Read more
