What will happen if you squeeze patches on your skin from eczema?

Can make worse: Squeezing or scratching/rubbing the skin can cause the eczema to worsen and also cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation or discolorations and scarring. Instead of squeezing, apply topical steroids or creams intended to distract the skin from itching (contain lidocaine, camphor, menthol) and take antihistamines.

Various Options...: Daily treatment with moisturizers is important to keep skin healthy and hydrated. Moisture from cocoa butter helps speed and stimulate the process of collagen production, fading the appearance of scars. Aloe vera has been used for centuries as a natural healer. It works especially well if your scar is fresh. Look into scar creams, ointments, and gels. Consult with a dermatologist for more ideas.

How to get rid of dry patches on skin due to eczema?

Topical Ointments: For eczema flares, apply prescription strength corticosteroid ointments to problem areas twice a day until clear. Daily moisturization is important as well. Other tips: Take quick shower (10-15min) in lukewarm water while avoiding harsh and drying cleansers. Pat away excess water and immediately apply fragrance-free moisturizer like Vanicream. Use at least twice a day.

Eczema treatment: Keeping your eczema under good control is the best option. If you are having repeated epidsodes, talk to your dermatologist about more intensive treatment options for keeping your eczema under better control.

I think my baby may have eczema because she has red patches of rough skin on her cheeks. What to do?

Find out for sure.: You know that commercial that goes, "do you want your doctor doing your job? Then why are you trying to do his? " don't try to diagnose and treat this yourself. Eczema on the face is relatively unusual in babies. It could be seborrheic dermatitis, an allergic reaction, a drug reaction, food allergy, or a host of other things. See your doctor, get a precise diagnosis & treatment.

Yes: When a person is suffering from eczema, a patch of eczema is typically red and inflamed. With treatment and moisture care, the patch will typically resolve. It may resolve with a temporary darkening of the skin. With treatment most patches of eczema will resolve with time.

Patches of eczema on neck back and shoulders. Some skin has turned white. Have used some low strength cortisone cream but doesn't go away. Autoimmune?

Cortisone: Youmay need to use a stronger steroid cream on areas on body. I recommend you consult a dermatologist for prescription that is correct for your condition. Eczema does not necessarily mean you have an autoimmine disease associated with it.

After a severe eczema/acne flare-up, there is now a small beige patch on my skin. Is there any treatment to make it "disappear"? Does it ever go away?

Don't be too much: Concerned about the beige spot. As long as your eczema and acne are under control. No one is perfect! If it is a cosmetic issue then you need to address this with your dermatologists or plastic surgeons

See your doctor: This is a medical issue that lasts a life time and needs to be followed by a doctor. Should I be worried about these moles? Hello there. I've been having lots of trouble with my skin lately. Just realized I have eczema. But randomly? Mainly on my ankles in small patches and on the tops of my feet. I haven't changed anything in my routine

Not sure: I am unable to answer your question. Evaluation of moles requires a visual inspection. You should see your doctor so that they can examine your moles to determine if they are concerning. Your primary physician can determine if they need to be removed.
