Dr. Did prostate rectal exam. It was painful n burning. He said he will wait or hold on antibiotics prescription till i come back in 3 months. Why ? What do you think he suspected?

Prostatitis: If the physician felt that the prostate gland was tender when he palpated it, he suspected an inflamed gland(prostatitis) which is usually treated with antibiotics. On the other hand, the exam may have simply been uncomfortable either because of poor technique or inadequate relaxation. I don't think that He would wait 3 months if he strongly suspected an infected gland. ...Read more

On antibiotics amoxicillin need to do complete regular bloodtests can i do them or how long do i wait for antibiotics to leave system if so?

All depends on what: you are looking for. Antibiotics (against-life-things, i.e. poisons to micro-organisms which most humans tolerate well) do not alter most blood test values. However, values resulting from infection: blood cultures , white blood cell concentrations, or specific antibody concentrations related to infection (beyond current clinical tests) would change if reflect antibiotic relevant infection change. ...Read more

I have rash after tonsil infection and antibiotics. I dont know why, the doctor said to me i need to wait because this gone by own. Just getting worst

Depends: Though not common, there is a specific type of rash known as purpura that can develop after an acute Strep infection. This can be associated with joint pain, abdominal pain, and kidney dysfunction. If the rash is indeed getting worse and not blanching (doesn't go away when you press on the skin), you should get a doctor to see it and maybe even run some lab work. ...Read more

After treating a swollen testicle with antibiotics and yet it did not heal, i was asked to see urologist. Please what will the urologist do?

Evaluate further: Antibiotics are to treat infections of the epididymus, which is adjacent to the testicle and feels like a small bag of worms. The residual swelling can be the inflammed tissue, versus a cyst or small torsion of part of this structure or even due to a tumor of the testicle itself. An exam by the urologist followed by an ultrasound are part of a conservative plan. ...Read more
