What kind of follow-up care will i need after butt augmentation surgery? Will i need massage and ultrasound after my butt augmentation. Is this common follow-up care? What other things will be suggested that I do after my surgery?

I : I perform butt augmentation with fat transfer techniques, ie brazilian butt lift. I don't usually recommend massage unless you notice an area of firmness. Massage may help in the areas that fat was harvested from to help reduce the swelling, but this is not necessary. If possible it is better if you can sleep on your stomach and avoid sleeping on your back. Avoid slouching and sliding down in your chair when sitting. Otherwise the recovery is not too bad. ...Read more

Most people begin to see better within a day of the procedure, but this depends on the degree of cataract as well as the type of cataract surgery you have. Depending on your work, you may be able to resume normal activities almost immediately. Speak with your eye surgeon about your particular situation. ...Read more

After scheduled surgery to remove gallbladder laparoscopically will i know i was intubated? What will recovery be like?

Laparoscopic : Surgery usually requires general endotracheal anesthsia. You will not have any memory of the intubation itself, because the anesthesiologist will give you IV medicine that prevents recalling the event. Barring any complications or unusual findings at surgery, you should be able to go home same or next day and resume normal activity in one week. Ask your surgeon for specific details. ...Read more

Not painful: Aspirating a seroma is generally done in an outpatient setting, usually not even requiring numbing medicine (since the pain of a needle stick for aspiration is the same as for the numbing medicine, but depends on how big the seroma and location). In any case, the seroma may require multiple aspirations until it eventually goes away. Without aspiration, this may take months to resolve. ...Read more

After an ACL surgery, how long should it take for my incisions to close and scar up?

After an ACL surgery, how long should it take for my incisions to close and scar up?

Probably soon.: It depends on your health. Diabetes, among other things, impairs wound healing, as does some antiseptics we used to use like H2O2. Within 24 hours, a sutured incision will have one layer of epidermal cells already. It will probably take up to 2-3 weeks at the most. Within hours: Depending on the surgical procedure, the local anesthetic used, and whether the epidural is continuous or not, the epidural will usually wear off within 1-3 hours after cessation of the infusion. However, if you are having knee replacement surgery, longer acting local anesthetics or continuous infusions may be used, in which case it may take much longer. However, the longer it lasts the less pain. ...Read more
