I was diagnosed with amblyopic left eye at 16 yr. My sight has improved from -3.75 to -1 through hard lens. Glasses n lens don't work anymore?Now what?
Can't improve: If you have amblyopia, it means that your nerve pathways never properly formed between your eyes and your brain. Therefore, even though you can decrease your amount of nearsightedness, you will never obtain 20/20 vision. There is no problem with the use of contact lenses as long as one recognizes the increased risk in an essentially monocular patient (severe amblyopia). ? any choice ?: When you find you may have a health related issue that may be chronic, do you really have a choice but to accept and live with it. Some people are born without an eye or eyes, feet, hands. etc. You are confused and trying to understand why/and how to get past it.
