Is flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) a drug that can get you kicked out of military service?

No, but...: It will ground you if you have airborne or diving status, and your profile will/should indicate you are on muscle relaxants which may impact safety and keep you from doing your MOS. You may be stuck in the motor pool for a while until you are considered safe by your treating military doctor. Being on a limiting T3 (liothyronine) profile long enough - regardless of reason - will send you straight to the MEB. Read more

I have not took flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) in four days will it show up in a drug test?

I have not took flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) in four days will it show up in a drug test?

Possibly: The rate of drug elimination from the body is called the half life; it is the time for half of the dosage to be eliminated. After two half lives, only 1/4 of the amount will be present. The half life of cyclobenzaprine ranges fro 8 to 37 hours, and is affected by many other medications however, cyclobenzaprine is not a drug of common abuse, and would not likely show up n a drug abuse screen. Not Soma (carisoprodol)?: Soma metabolite can trigger bdzp screen, possible Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) metabolite as well. Need to ask for information on the test used, and method of confirmation / follow-up testing (first usually qualitative, confirmatory quantitative). If no bdzp ingestion, quantitative testing should report negative. Read more

Will flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) give you a false positive on a drug test? I have recently been prescribed flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) and took a drug test and I failed it. I do not do drugs and it showed up as THC why is this

Not likely: Most drug tests use a first test, TLC or thin layer chromatography, as an initial screen. This test is prone to cross-reaction or "false positive" results for some substances. Usually if the TLC is positive, a second test, gcms or gas chromatography mass spectroscopy is used to confirm. This test is much more specific for specific molecules and not likely to yield false positive results. Read more
