Not always.: The importance of cooking chicken adequately cannot be understated. Salmonella and/or Campylobacter were present in 66% of chicken samples in one study. Proper cooking to 165°F will destroy those organisms. If you are lucky enough that the chicken you cooked did not have these organisms, you will not get sick that time. It's important to have good technique in the kitchen. Good luck.
Can I get botulism or listeria from undercooked chicken? What are the chances and how long should I wait to get it?
Yes and no: Botulism, no. You can't get that from chicken, it only grows inside improperly sealed cans and bottles. With chicken, we usually see salmonella/shigella, listeria is possible but rare. It can take at least a day to develop symptoms if you contracted it. Typically your body will get over it just fine without treatment. The bigger risk with Listeriosis is if you are pregnant. Hope this helps
I just ate undercooked chicken. It was white in the center, but not cooked all the way through. I took one bite and spit it out. Will I get sick?

Depends: On length of cooking, method and weight of chicken. Impossible to determine.
Eggs: Not all eggs are infected w salmonella. You get to know within 24 hour if it was salmonella infected egg.
