When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Lose pregnancy wt: Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, and start doing some cardiovascular exercise. Work on doing a little of all of these. There really isn't any way to get rid of the stretch marks without surgery (tummy tuck) to remove the stretched skin. ...Read more
I want to get rid of these strech marks that I have due to pregnancy. Could you give me some tips for this?
The wt gain problem: Avoid excessive/rapid wt gain and minimize long hot shower/bath, minimize use of body washes/scrubbing, use of humidifer in winter/cold season, and minimize use of meds if not needed. Applying moisturing lotion such as aquaphor 2-3x/day, especially after shower/bath--soft skin stretches better. If not adequate, consult doc as u may need prescription meds. Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Ever since my only pregnancy I got ugly strechmarks and plus my stomach is a lil loose what can I do to fix it help I've tryed everything but excerise?
"Everything??? ": Exercise is the starting point, not the last thing. And plastic surgery is the only way to remove loose skin and tighten stretched muscles (you can't "exercise" skin to tightness). Even with abs of steel they are stretched by pregnancy and covered by skin of flab. Surgery is the only way to restore your tummy after you lose the weight and restore tone with diet and exercise. What can I do for the stretching marks during pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy... Is there any cream I can use?
I wouldn't spend $: From my experience, the creams don't work. I've seen women who are super slim prior to pregnancy and gained very little wait have horrible stretch marks, all the while using the expensive creams. And then other women who are obese and gain 70# in their pregnancy who have none. I think stretch marks are primarily genetic, so I don't recommend the creams. If you want to try, likely no harm. ...Read more

Is the use of flat iron spray w/argon oil and and lotion for stretch marks w/vite, collagen, cocoa butter safe during pregnancy? Many prods w/alcohol
Yes, however...: All of these should be quite safe. Alcohol should not be significantly absorbed into your skin, certainly not enough to harm your baby. Good diet: "stretch marks" are not strictly mechanical. They are really metabolic in character and often appear in obesity. A good natural food diet and some vitamin supplements help. The largest organ in the body is the skin. Thus it needs to be fed properly like all the other body organs. Ask your ob/gyn. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Do lotions help to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy? Some women swear by them and some don't. I've read that it's a genetic thing. What does work?
Probably not.: Keeping your skin hydrated is always a good thing, but it's no guarantee that you will avoid stretch marks. For every product that people swear works like a miracle, you'll find others posting that the same cream didn't work. Whether you choose to use lotions/creams or not, remember that stretch marks are a proof that you brought new life into this world, and thus are a badge of honor. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
