Not to worry.: Sinus drainage and a sore throat for a few days sounds like a virus. It may get worse over the next couple days these upper respiratory infections should begin to improve after 7-10 days. The best thing to do is treat the symptoms with otc meds. Watch for persistent high fever, problems breathing, etc. If you are not getting better after 7-10 days, you may benefit from seeing a primary care doc.
Stop the drip: Depending on the cause of the sinus drainage: allergy, infection, etc. If allergy: try antihistamines like claritin, zyrtec, etc which are otc, nasal salt water rinses, and get a prescription steroid nasal spray from your doctor if that doesn't help. Throat sprays and gargles can help temporarily. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer
