Strange but true...: The best tip I have for eczema is crisco! it's messy, but it works beautifully and is so inexpensive. Put it on at night & put pajamas on to cover. I've never had anyone say this didn't work. Good luck! and....Try not to shower every day. ...Read more

Short term-: Short term add an oral antihistamine such as Diphenhydramine (benadryl) or Hydroxyzine (atatrax) to deal with the itching immediately. But long term if he is having that much symptoms despite the topical treatments doctor has given, it's time to see a dermatologist to determine a stronger course of action and possibly an allergist to find out what the little guy is allergic to! ...Read more

Go to a doctor: Baby's skin is very delicate and it is not good to treat it with things that are fine for older children and adults. A facial rash may not be serious, but it may be part of an allergic reaction or something else requiring a prescription. Make an appointment or visit an urgent care clinic to avoid problems.
