What works for you.: As a runner, I could not eat before a race no earlier than 2 hours before race time. Eating pasta the night before can be helpful. I don't know if there is any evidence based studies that can support all the theories out there on what to eat or not. I would eat a good breakfast no later than 8 AM. Not much...: If your run begins @ 10 am then the night before( this is what i did before a full marathon) eat plenty of pasta( no tomato sauce or meat). Race day morning i would eat a plain bagel and drink gatorade drinks.Make sure to go to the bathroom 30 min.
