You need a scope.: A recurrent sore throat is not uncommon. If you have more than 6 infections in 1 year it is recommended to remove your tonsils. Globus Pharyngis: I've heard it diagnosed as globus pharyngis or hystericus. It's a lump in the throat feeling w/o actual cause. It is usually anxiety, can be GERD or post-nasal drip.
