Hair loss in infant: It is normal for babies to lose some or all of their hair, and this is not safely preventable unless another underlying cause (such as severe seborrhea capitus or fungal infections) is present and not addressed. A 4-5 fold overdose: ...Of Ibuprofen will at worst cause her to throw up, but this is valid only if you are sure there wasn't more Ibuprofen than that in the bottle. Also this is a wake-up call - next time she might get into something more dangerous. Drain unclogger is one of the nastiest things commonly found in the home, but many others aren't much better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why can't I fall pregnant? I've been trying naturally for over 6months. I have low iron but I've been pregnant once before so I know I can have babies.
Fertility: If you have low iron, you may be anemic, as an iron molecule is essential to making red blood cells. Your health is always a factor in your ability to get pregnant. If you are anemic from deficiency of iron then you can be given oral iron supplements to rectify the anemia. The loss of menstrual blood monthly is often the cause of anemia. See your doctor for a check up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm 23 & have palpitations daily, getting outof bed, at work, picking up my babies. They're hard & hurt lately. I take welbutrin & drink lots of coffe?
Palpitations: From what you describe you should talk to your doc about this. In the meantime a lot of coffee can definitely be associated with palpitations. I'd recommend getting off the coffee. You should probably taper it rather than 'cold turkey'. Taper by cutting the cups/day in half, then keep cutting in half every 3 days until down to 1 cup a day and see how you are at that point. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Babies if no pain: If the hernia is causing significant pain, then you should have it fixed now, heal for several weeks, and then have children. Are night wakings in infants other than those for feedings common and should the infant be helped to fall back asleep or left to 'cry it out'?
I'm a mother if 4 children i had my last 4.5 months ago why dose my hair become so fine and fall out after I have my babies when they are at 3 months?
Hair loss: This can be a normal occurrence after delivery. This is due to the decreased level of Estrogens after delivery. Estrogens were responsible for your hair growth during your pregnancy. Occasionally you can develop hypothyroidism and lose your hair but by and large hair loss is a normal phenomenon. ...Read more
Do to a fall, my 6 week old infant needed a cat scan. What are the side effects of a scan at such a young age? The dr said cancer but how soon?
Wouldn't worry: There is a tiny increase in cancer risk later in life children who have a bunch of ct scans. We're exposed to unavoidable natural radiation every day, and compared to this, the dose you get from a worthwhile ct scan is trivial. I'm glad junior is okay and has a parent who care so much. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Hi doc.I here a voice from my 6 months old babies nose while feeding and also when he lies straight on a bed. When i keep him in upright hes ok .
Adenoid or reflux: He might be having some reflux into his throat or back of nose which is usually worse during feeding or laying down. A large adenoid could also cause similar symptoms. As long as he breathes through his nose, doesn't snore, feeds without coughing or choking, it should be ok to watch. See md if concerned. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

2 months old baby falls off bed. Baby seems fine but i'm worried. No bleeding, vomiting, or anything. Baby breastfed and is sleeping. Please advise.?
Should be fine!: Undress and check out all parts of your infant's body for any bumps, bruises or abrasions/deformities. Gently touch all areas to check for tenderness. Likely, you were lucky with this incident and all should be well. Persistent fussy behavior, vomiting, sleeping, or changes in his/her behavior/affect would be halmarks of getting an evaluation sooner than later. ...Read more
